Human Jordaan Heritage Collection

What do you do when you are passionate about something? You design and construct a light-filled building to share what interests and excites you – that is how the Human Jordaan Heritage Collection came to life.

Human Jordaan, co-owner of the President Paul Kruger Guest Lodge, started restoring stationary antique engines in 2012, and in 2013 he officially opened the building that currently houses his collection. It is not an official museum, but a symbol of someone’s pride in their heritage and passion for vintage stationary engines. You will see several British heritage engine brands such as Ruston & Hornsby, Bamford, and Lister. Restored American engines include a 1953 Clinton Red Horse and 1948 Kohler Electric Plant.

What else will you find in the Human Jordaan Heritage Collection? Second Anglo-Boer War family heirlooms, woodworking tools, a Remington typewriter, Singer sewing machine, and other interesting things. Remember when mobile phones were the size of bricks? We even have one of those.

A tour through the collection is exclusive to guests staying at the President Paul Kruger Guest Lodge. We hope to see you soon!
